The Bridal Party
Bridesmaids
Jennifer Bonesteel, the maid of honor, is the bride's Delta Zeta sorority sister and college roommate, but in reality she is so much more! She has been a shoulder to cry on, a voice of reason and a partner in crime. Actually, she's the reason that all of you are looking at this website, because she introduced the bride and groom to each other. Jennifer can hold her own at the podium and on the dance floor, loves to travel and hates sappy girly movies. She is currently an attorney in Indianapolis, but she is looking to move someplace more exciting as soon as such an opportunity presents itself.
Megan Sugrue is the bride's cousin, and will begin college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln this fall studying Anthropology and Archaeology. She and Beth rarely got to see each other much growing up, but thanks to the digital age they have been able to keep tabs on one another! Megan is into theater and music, especially singing. Megan really wants to travel during and after college, and would ultimately like to join the Peace Corps as well because she loves to help people.
Katie Thomas will probably tell you that she met the bride in Sunday School in second grade, and they didn't get along. Luckily they changed their minds by the sixth grade, and have been friends ever since through a love of awesomely bad music, all things French and a host of inside jokes. Katie lives in New York, where she teaches third and fourth grade special education students, throws silly theme parties, shops for exotic accessories and plans overseas jaunts to places you never knew you always wanted to go.
Molly Daly has also been the bride's friend since middle school, where they shared the joys of orchestra class and often had the same clothes by accident, but tried hard never to wear them on the same day. Molly always hosted the silliest parties, and is really excited that Beth and Jon got engaged in a museum because she loves science almost as much as Jon does. She reads voraciously and is always up to try something new and offbeat. Molly lives in Chicago, where she is developing and editing new grade school text books.
Sonia Kim has also been friends with the bride since sixth grade, when they had way too many classes together. Beth and Sonia have bonded over classical music and Ben Folds, as well as a mutual love for making up words and the simple things in life. So always laughs her very distinctive laugh at puns and corny jokes, and she never turns down a friend in need. Sonia is currently in graduate school at Colombia, and will be interning for the US Embassy in Nepal this summer, but she promises to be back in time for the wedding!
Ingrid Specht is the final member of this same grade school clan, and has also been a long time flute student of the bride's mother. Ingrid and Beth used to bond over morning TV yoga in middle school, and have found themselves in some absurd situations with various teachers over the years. Ingrid is hilarious and easy-going, and knows a lot of lyrics to a lot of silly songs without really knowing exactly why she knows them. Ingrid has been working with Customs and Border Protection for the past several months, but has decided to return to graduate school this fall to pursue another degree.
Groomsmen
Scott Button, the best man, is the groom's little brother. He is currently attending Cuyahoga Community College, where he made Dean's List in the previous academic semester. Scott loves Cleveland sports teams as much as Jon does. When it comes to athletics and video games, the two are very competitive. Many historic games of basketball have been played out in the driveway of their home on Newcomb Dr. When Scott is not out causing trouble or at home playing Madden on the PS3, you'll probably find him at the local FitWorks, where he has been known to re-arrange the furniture and throw some weights around.
John Branecki attended Wabash College and was in the same Kappa Sigma fraternity pledge class as the groom. John is currently living in New York City and is working as an analyst at Goldman Sachs. When his eighty-some-odd hour work week is done, you can find him at a trendy club or some-such-other living the kind of urban life that most only read about or watch on TV. While at Wabash, Jon and John bonded over their similar musical tastes, late night study parties, and study breaks usually spent watching odd internet videos and Flash cartoons.
Matt Sears is a fellow physics graduate student at Texas A&M. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester where he was a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team. His current research is in Condensed Matter theory, and he is very proud to be the research student of Dr. Pokrovsky, who is a lovely and personable Russian physicist from the Cold War era and an imposing figure in the field. When he's not doing uber-nerdy things like compiling the latest build of Firefox or plotting hypergeometric functions on his fancy Linux machine, you can find him at the TAMU Rec Center lifting weights, climbing rocks, or crushing Jon in racquetball. He is a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Jon doesn't hold that against him since Matt knows Tae Kwon Do.
Terry Archambeault , newly Catholic, attended Wabash College, and was also in the same Kappa Sigma fraternity pledge class as the groom. Terry currently lives in Washington, D.C., and is Membership Director for the Federalist Society. When not tolerating absent-minded lawyers, he can be found at one of numerous happy hours, reading one of numerous books, or ranting about one of numerous topics. Terry was recently accepted for admission into the divinity schools at Yale and Harvard. After much contemplation, he has finally decided upon Yale. While at Wabash, Terry served as a repository of fraternal secrets, and always kept an ear open for those friends needing to expound upon life's woes. He has also yet to beat Elisabeth in Scrabble.
John Zuber is a big goofy guy who is always SO EXCITED to see Jonathan. John was also a member of Kappa Sig with Jon, where they would spend late nights doing an equal amount of studying, watching cartoons, and eating savory double cheeseburgers from McDonald's. He graduated Wabash with a degree in chemistry, where he was a member of the Sphinx Club and was often asked to DJ the occasional social event. Today, he works at some job that requires him to forge steel with his mighty bear claws.
Greg Gravenstreter has an awesome dog named Gilligan and might jump on Jonathan's back without warning at the wedding, just for a little payback after Jon did the same thing to him last Monon. He currently lives in Indianapolis and is working as a waiter. He is also trying to get a job as a firefighter. Greg was a member of Kappa Sigma with Jonathan. They became close friends while serving the fraternity together as social chairmen, throwing together events with crazy themes and even crazier props or costume requirements.
We might have two amazingly adorable children to add to the wedding party, but no one knows for sure.
